Certain breeds need to visit a groomer on a regular basis to get bathed, brushed out and have their hair trimmed.
What is the Shedless Program?
When we do a Shedless Program on your dog, the entire bath and brush process is dedicated to removing any and all undercoat. We have a special shampoo that is just for shedding dogs that is enriched with Omega 3 and 6 Fatty Acids that help protect from excess shedding. We also have special tools we use during the bath to loosen up the undercoat. Before the bath is finished we take a thick and heavy cream rinse and blow dry the dog with the cream rinse on, this removes the majority of the undercoat, then we rinse and blow dry again. Once your dog is dry, we spend an extra half hour to hour to brush and remove any excess coat that may be left on.
How often should I have the Shedless done?
If your are having your dog groomed on a regular basis (every four to six weeks), we recommend that you have the Shedless done every other or every third groom depending on how much your dog sheds.
How much does the Shedless Program cost?
The price will vary depending on the size and coat of your dog, it can be anywhere from $15.00 to $25.00 added to your regular price.
Is there anything else I should know about the Shedless Program?
Always keep in mind that dos will occasionally blow coat if they are excited or anxious, and when the weather changes. The Shedless Program helps to maintain a shedding problem, but will not prevent the blowing of coat. |
